First Aid with time has passed the days of having paracetamol, cotton wool and methylated spirit in the box but for every emergency one is able to attend to and prevent it from escalation into what might cost a victim's life to be at stake is also referred to as First Aid. That very first halfway medical intervention the victim receives before been rushed to the hospital is very essential.
There might have been limitations to big health cases that are been taken to the hospitals if they were controlled at the slightest level. Probably a bleeding that could have been stopped if we all know the first aid on how to attend to these emergencies when they show up but because we don't understand or have the knowledge on how to do these things then a minor bleeding case may end up in extreme blood loss of the victim which might lead to death if no medical attention is given at the appropriate time.
The very first time I experienced the importance and usage of first aid was when I was in primary school and a pupil had a deep cut of blade, accidentally caused by me.
It was so deep that blood was gushing out so much like it wasn't a blade cut and all thanks to the first aid box we had in school, they were able to make use of the items in it to stop the bleeding before proceeding to the hospital for a better treatment.
After that incidence I don't think I really witnessed or had a personal experience of a medical emergency aside the day an apprentice of my younger sister accidentally sew her finger while running a sewing machine and unfortunately, the machine needle broke into her nail plate.

I don't know why I was the first person my sister asked others to call that day, probably because I was the eldest at home or because she knew I would calmly control the situation at hand or something because normally they should have gone to a pharmacist that day for a little surgery, lol.
I went there and on seeing the girl in pain, crying profusely, I knew I had to do something fast. We do not have a first aid box in my house so I requested for a scissors to perform the surgery since I suddenly wants to turn a surgeon, lol. We used so many minutes trying to remove the needle and fortunately at the end, we were able to remove it which caused the girl some relieve.

There was a time I saw a video online one day about CPR on how to attend to cases or victims when they're struggling to breathe and I really found it helpful. Though I have not had a situation to practicalize what I learnt and I am not sure I'm ready to.
They were simple tips but difficult things to do when one actually found themselves in such emergency because how easy will it be trying to ensure a victim of an accident, or someone grasping for breathe to calm down, not getting nervous that they can breathe well and also trying to press their chest with little pressure under such high level pressure. It's difficult in my own reasoning but might look simple to do to so many people.
So thinking about this prompt on first aid and CPR precisely, I think it's a best thing for us all to know about and be well equipped on the knowledge required to save someone from such breathe stoppage emergencies when we found ourselves with victims in such situations.
No knowledge is wasted and it is better to have the knowledge with no incidence of using it than having the incident that requires such knowledge but woefully regretting it at the spot that you did not calmly listened or learned on how to do it.
That may be a lifetime regret anyway.
I'll be dropping my 🖊️ here on the Hive Learners community prompt.
Thanks for reading through 🤗
