Las Majaguas Reservoir
These photos belong to my personal archive. I took them a few years ago while driving along the José Antonio Páez Highway, also known as the Los Llanos Highway, towards the city of San Carlos, capital of Cojedes state, located in the central plains region of Venezuela.
What you see in the images is the Las Majaguas Reservoir, a huge body of fresh water, built in 1963 to serve as a water reservoir for irrigating the agricultural fields in the area, as well as for sports such as fishing, skiing, and motorboating. It is located near the towns of San Rafael de Onoto and Agua Blanca in Portuguesa state.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Embalse Las Majaguas
Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé algunos años atrás mientras manejaba por la Autopista José Antonio Páez, también conocida como Autopista de Los Llanos, en dirección a la ciudad de San Carlos, capital del estado Cojedes, ubicado en la región de los llanos centrales de Venezuela.
Lo que se observa en las imágenes es el Embalse Las Majaguas, un enorme cuerpo de agua dulce, construído en 1963 para servir como reservorio de agua para el riego de los sembradíos agrícolas existentes en la zona, además de prácticas deportivas como la pesca, el esquí o la motonáutica, y está situado en las cercanías de laspoblaciones de San Rafael de Onoto y Agua Blanca en el estado Portuguesa.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
