Urban Postcards
In early 2022, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, a condition of the thyroid gland that results in excessive hormone production, which resulted in significant weight loss among other symptoms.
At that time, I had to undergo constant laboratory tests to determine whether the treatment prescribed by the doctor was having an effect, or if not, to modify the dosage of the medications.
The clinical laboratory I used to go to is located on the eighth floor of an office building, where there are also other medical offices of other specialties, so I used to look out the windows of the emergency stairs after going to my appointment, to observe the privileged view of the city, taking advantage on one occasion to take this pair of photos that I share as my participation in this new round.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
A principios del año 2022, fuí diagnosticado de hipertiroidismo, una afección de la glándula tiroides que se traduce en la excesiva producción de hormonas, lo que me trajo como consecuencia una pérdida apreciable de peso entre otros síntomas.
En aquel tiempo, tenía que realizarme exámenes de laboratorio constantemente para determinar si el tratamiento indicado por el médico estaba surtiendo efecto, o en caso contrario, modificar la dosificación de los medicamentos.
El laboratorio clínico al que acudía, se encuentra ubicado en el octavo piso de un edificio de oficinas, donde además, también existen otros consultorios médicos de otras especialidades, por lo acostumbraba a asomarme a las ventanas de las escaleras de emergencia después de acudir a mi cita, para observar la privilegiada vista de la ciudad, aprovechando en una ocasión para tomar este par de fotos que comparto como mi participación en esta nueva ronda.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
