Patterns
Patterns, whether in nature, art or human behavior, are recurring structures or designs that provide order and understanding. They can be considered both a source of beauty and a means of understanding the world around us.
More abstractly, a pattern could be defined as that series of constant and identifiable variables within a larger set of data. These elements are repeated over and over again in a predictable manner, such as visual patterns, which tend to be very common, ranging from simple decorative motifs to more complicated ones.
This pair of recent photos are of the parking lot floor of a private home I was in, where the placement of the pavers was done in such a way that it is possible to visually identify a pattern.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Los patrones, bien sea en la naturaleza, en el arte o en el comportamiento humano, son estructuras o diseños recurrentes que proporcionan orden y comprensión. Pueden ser considerados tanto una fuente de belleza como un medio para comprender el mundo que nos rodea.
De una forma más abstracta, podría definirse un patrón como aquella serie de variables constantes e identificables dentro de un conjunto mayor de datos. Estos elementos se repiten una y otra vez de una manera predecible, tal como los patrones visuales, los cuales suelen ser muy comunes, pudiendo ser desde simples motivos decorativos a otros más complicados.
Este par de fotos recientes, corresponden al piso del estacionamiento de una vivienda particular en la que estuve, donde la colocación de los adoquines se hizo de forma tal que es posible identificar visualmente un patrón.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
