Hello Everyone!
This week’s contest is about “Decay,” and at first, I wasn’t sure what to choose for my entry. I initially thought it had to be something dead or rotting, but after reading the contest rules more carefully, I realized that "decay" could also refer to something that’s deteriorating or wearing down over time. That’s when I knew exactly what to submit.
That’s when I remembered this photo I had taken at our shop. It shows one of our customer’s tires, and it immediately came to mind because of how unusual the wear was. Normally, when a tire wears down, the damage is spread out evenly across the tread. But in this case, only the middle part of the tire had worn out significantly, while the sides were still relatively intact. It was such a strange sight that even our customer was puzzled. He couldn’t figure out how it had happened, and neither could we at first.
Fortunately, we had the exact size in stock to replace his worn-down tire. We were able to get it changed quickly and safely, and the customer left relieved and satisfied. Situations like this remind me that "decay" doesn’t always have to be dramatic or immediately noticeable. Sometimes, it happens gradually, in ways we don’t expect, and only becomes obvious when the damage has already been done.
Thank you @friendlymoose for initiating this contest.
Thank you for reading everyone have a nice day!
