Striking a balance
Today I came to participate in this week's call where we were asked if we are thrifty or if we like to waste money on expensive coffees.
The truth is that this is a very complex issue because it is not only a matter of taste but also money. There are excellent coffees of excellent quality that are a delight, and just as they are of high quality, logically the price is higher than that of economical coffees.
We also have the other side of the coin, the coffees that are economical and do not have an excellent flavor like the high-quality coffees. It is said that the cheap coffees are made with the bad beans that are left after the rigorous selection made by the producers. These low-quality beans are converted into cheap coffees.
Every time I go to the supermarket, and take a walk through the aisles full of products, the craving for coffee takes me to the section of products and brands of coffee, between this dance of quality and money, I always try to look for a balance that benefits and satisfies both parties.
I want to clarify that not all cheap coffees are of low quality, some brands offer excellent quality at a modest price. We could say that it is between unpleasant coffee and high-quality coffee. When money is scarce, and I think that this also happens to many people, we try to tighten our belts with what we consume without sacrificing taste, because the truth is that coffee with a horrible taste is not pleasant.

Many times it has happened to me that I have bought unknown brands of coffee that have turned out to be a failure and disappointment to the palate, but from the experiences one learns, and with time I have become more knowledgeable about the brands of quality coffee that are offered at excellent prices and that in terms of quality satisfy in great majority the expectations.
When money does not flow in large quantities like water, Contingency plans come to light and I prepare myself with a variety of affordable brands that satisfy my palate and make me enjoy coffee with all its benefits. I also feel fortunate because living in a country where coffee is produced, I can find an infinity of excellent brands of coffee with very comfortable prices.
At home my mother always buys her favorite coffee for years, it is perfect, its flavor is exquisite, and it has an affordable price, but I get bored of that brand of coffee, and I look for my own to have a variety of flavors and smells. Many times I buy bags for a few preparations, exclusively for me.
Of course, the fact that the economic part limits me in a certain way to enjoy high-quality coffee does not mean that I have not done it, when I can treat myself by buying an expensive coffee, let's say that for me it is like a special banquet. I do not drink it every day but on weekends and special dates.
It is a glory to drink these high-quality coffees that make each cup a magic that bewitches and takes us beyond heaven itself. At this point in my life, I have found a balance between economy and excellent quality. I am satisfied with what I drink daily, and despite everything, I have not sacrificed taste for the economy.
