Finally, my coffee pack arrived. Yohooo! 😂
After trying out the Folgers Classic roast (black, no sugar or cream) and Topcafe 3-in-1 Creamy White Coffee Mix (which I didn't enjoy enjoy owing to its overwhelming sweetness), I decided that black coffee only is it for me, at least for the time being.
Since I was watching my calorie and sugar intake, I presume that black coffee might be a better option. Moreover, black coffee contains more antioxidants since it's not mixed with any additives.
So to find the perfect brew, I sampled various coffee products like "Nescafe Classic and Nescafe Gold blend", before settling on "Blue Pearl Cafe Ultimate Fresh Instant Coffee."

I was actually intrigued by the names of coffee beans - Robusta and Arabica, so I did a little digging around and here's what I found out.
Robusta and Arabica coffee beans are what you'd call the yin and yang of the coffee world. Like two opposites complementing each other.
There's more.
Robusta beans has a grain-like texture, bold strong bitter flavor with high caffeine content. It's flavor profile is characterized by earthy notes with smoky hints of wood and nuts.
Arabica beans, on the other hand has a more complex flavor profile - smooth, mild, sweet taste with fruity and nutty tones to deep chocolatey notes.
My oh my! Now imagine the taste of coffee made from a combination of these two beans - Simply Classic. Little wonder it's a unique blend.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find information on the specific state in India where Blue Pearl Cafe Ultimate Fresh Instant Coffee was produced. However, I did find that India is one of the countries where Robusta coffee is grown, particularly in the southwestern states of Karnataka and Kerala.
Having finally picked my favourite coffee blend, I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm sure you're eager to know how it turned out. Keep reading to find out. Lol.
So today, I treated myself to a hot, strong black brew, and I tell you, Blue Pearl Cafe Ultimate fresh instant coffee did not disappoint. As if I knew we were going to experience a cold weather today owing to the morning rain, I brought along hot water in my trusty themos to the office.
It was a busy morning, and it wasn't until noon that I finally had a chance to sit down and indulge in my coffee. As I brewed the coffee, I made sure to take in the aroma of the blend. I savored the scent, appreciating the notes of the roast.
Pure bliss.
And when it was ready, I took a few sips, and I couldn't help but pat myself on the back for making the right choice. Lol. The flavors came together beautifully, and none overpowered the other. In fact, it was simply a harmonious blend, something like a balanced equation (in mathematics), Lol.
The strong, bold flavor of Robusta = 50%, the mild, sweet, fruity, and chocolatey notes of Arabica = 50%. QED.
I must confess that the coffee really hit the right spots. Agh! 😅
To top it, the sound of the rain outside added to the cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect moment to unwind and also recharge, ready to take on the remaining tasks for the day.
