Listening My Way: Music in My Daily Life

IMG_0939.jpeg

Music is a wonder. Music is a therapy. Music is a stress reliever. It's everything I could think of, and this is because I have experienced in many ways how it heals my soul and makes me feel good, especially when I feel down or discouraged.

If there is one thing I do to take me out of negativity, it's music, and at that moment, the only genre I could think of is gospel songs. They are my go-to because that's where I find comfort in my soul.

If I need to take a walk around, I listen to music. If I need to just sit in silence, music is my companion. If I need to clean the house or do anything, music is always available to keep me entertained. In fact, I just developed the habit of listening to music on my way to church every Sunday and would stop it once I was at the entrance. This is because I find it relieving using a particular device which you will know soon.

It depends on my mood and how I listen to music. Whether it's listening by using earpods, wired earpiece or just blasting the speaker in the background. But one thing here is that I have never used headphones before because they are too big for me. So I wouldn't be talking about it or how it made me feel and if I actually liked it, but I guess it's always a good feeling for those who use it except that it gives one headache when it's increased to a higher volume considering the size.

I have listened to music using the first 3 means, and I must say, the one I prefer most is earpods. Why do I say that?

Let's begin with the wired earpiece. This particular one is what I have used for many years, and I was always careful in using it, especially when it comes to handling it. Using an earpiece restricts my movement in the sense that I cannot move around freely if they don't fit in my ears well and sometimes, it feels a little bit convenient if I have a pocket where I could throw my phone inside and do whatever I want to do.

With an earpiece, I'm more careful how I move my body so the wire doesn't cut, especially when it comes to washing clothes, I love to listen to music at that moment to make the washing fun and interesting.

I also love listening to music when I am in the kitchen to keep me busy and make it fun and not feel bored, but I feel uncomfortable when it's plucked in my ears, and any mistake, either through bending or walking around, could damage it or lead to loss of sound or other issues.

Another thing about an earpiece is it's easier to forget it's in your pocket, and once you accidentally sit down, you damage it already - this is what I have experienced. So, using a wired earpiece can be a nuisance during activities like exercise, commuting or even taking a walk around.

How about listening to music by blasting on loudspeakers? I like this when I am with someone or among a group of people, because it gives this sweet vibes, especially with a good speaker. I do this often, mostly when I just need to do activities in the house and let the music go on while I dance and sing around. It's always a good feeling for me although I try to reduce the volume for neighbours who wouldn't want to be disturbed.

But when it comes to using earpods. Trust me, I love it more than a wired earpiece because my movements aren't restricted as I can walk freely and engage in activities anywhere.

I love listening to music with earpods as it gives me this different kind of feeling that makes me lose myself in the world of songs.

When I do this, I make sure there are no distractions and so would increase the volume so I don't hear any other things until I'm satisfied.

The only time I don't use my earpods is when I am on a bike because it could accidentally fall and get damaged. Though I have seen people who do this and still would be comfortable in their ears, I wouldn't want to risk such. It's better to be inside a vehicle than on a bike just to prevent any damage.

So which do I prefer? It's listening to music using both earpods and blasting on loudspeakers depending on the situation of things around me and my mood.

Such a relatable post! Music really does something special to the soul—especially gospel. And I totally feel you on the wired earpiece struggle—those things are high-maintenance! Earpods are such a game changer.

Yea, EarPods are definitely great choice. Thank you for reading my post.

You are welcome dear
