Love, Digitally

in Digital Lifestyle4 days ago

In a world where almost everything possible has gone digital, I guess love had no choice but to hop on this train. And thankfully it did, because today we see the exchange of love and affection on the digital space, and through this medium, this has made it less of an effort and conducive in some way. Probably, if someone had hinted that this would be the case some hundreds of years back, it would be considered impossible and maybe a joke.

Thanks to the innovations and technology of the modern-day digital world, love can find more expressions and thrive better. When a lot of effort would be required to show that love or affection-in the place of communication and spending quality time, the digital age tools have made it better and perhaps much more delightful. It could require a long and distant walk to see the other or even communicate, now it's at the beck and call of both parties. Thankfully the man doesn't have to go through that probable long walk, haha.

So, what does love, affection, and relationships look like in the digital space? I guess a lot. Talk about the various platforms on the social media space, spicing things up. Just an emoji or a sticker could communicate that language to the partner, in the best way the person intends. Funny enough is the beautiful and adorable humour that could be involved. The stickers have done well in this regard, clearly expressing affection in funny, appealing and captivating gestures.

How about FaceTime? Yes, that's one goodness for the expression of the digital love relationship. I mean, at almost any time, with data and a good network one could see the face that puts a smile on theirs and puts joy in their hearts. How easy and astonishing it could be. One thing that makes this more interesting is how the call, face time could be scheduled. In a sense, waiting for the call time could keep one in anticipation towards it and their thoughts indirectly on the partner. That's something beautiful.

Not to forget things like game nights-which would involve playing some online connected game, and in the midst of it catch some fun and grow in affection as well. Also, the public display of affection, through posting of pictures, video content, picture collages, something all beautiful and appealing to make the other feel loved. I think digital love could and should make this love thing more interesting.

Well, so it should. I find though that it could also provide a means to quell a growing love or affection. This could be so as many have come to conceive that all of the digital love things are just a facade, believing that on those same social media and online spaces, their partners in the relationship are being unfaithful and untrue. So, it kind of makes it complicated.

Love as a whole could seem like a big job, whether physically or digitally, but one thing for sure is that both parties are needed to make it work. The digital love relationship should do well, for the tools and platforms provided it by the digital age and space.

Digital love is on another level of spiciness. There's a lot to do in different ways that just fuels the spark and bridges the gap that although both parties be far, yet they don't feel it so much. I like that spice.

Yeah, that spiciness that it brings can be the remedy to physical barrier, making it feel less or none even.
Thank you for your nice comment.

Global digitalisation has made alot of things easier for us and love is not left behind. Technology and digitalisation has made communication with our loved ones who are far away more easier and has also made it more easier to see them from far away.
Thank you for sharing @daverick

That's true. The work of global digitalisation cannot be understated, and grateful it applies positively to this area also.
Thank you for reading @samarijr0.

Yes both parties need to make things work

Absolutely.
Thank you!

You were specific about the fun parts of digital relationships. I like where you talk about stickers. Stickers do a great job of expressing me, when words fail. I love them, and I love conversing with someone who knows how to use them appropriately.

Yeah, stickers do a great job really. I can't even imagine the social media interaction without stickers again, it would seem kind of boring or less fun at least. I get that too, it helps in those expressions when words might fail you, and truly, it's always fun when you find someone who uses them well.
