The Dreemshare expo yesterday was mad guys.... It was fun filled, action packed and most importantly educating.
I even made some HBD selling coffees ๐.
The speakers were amazing, all 10 of us and we all came with our A game.
If you missed it I am so sorry but then, you get to experience a once in a lifetime event for the second time as it's coming up again by September.
Ohh.... I almost forgot, we had one Late bloomer @beauty who missed out on presenting but Our ever so sweet captain @dreemsteem and our lovely @penderis will be working out something special for her so y'all can still get a glimpse of the whole experience.
Like I said earlier, we had 10 speakers touching and sharing their ever so valid opinions on the various ramifications of life.
KENECHUKWU
We had @kenechukwu with the financial advice and how to keep tabs on our earnings. It was from his presentation I realised I am Surthriving a little in-between of Striving (Survival) and thriving.
He also pointed out that its not about how much you earn but the dependency rate you are being faced with, that's a little something that rubbed off on black tax.
According to Kene, he could be earning $1000 and @ngwinndave could be earning $500.
While @Ngwinndave earning might seem smaller, if she has lesser mouth to feed and carter for, she would save more and get more value for her money on a personal level. Unlike @Kenechukwu who might have his entire extended family dependent on him.
I likened his example to the Nigeria and Benin republic situation. You know Benin is a heavy import dependent country just like Nigeria... Infact they thrive on importation.
I looked up their inflation rate and saw it was 1.35% a single digit which means their economy is quite strong because they have lesser mouth to feed and fewer people to carter for so whatever they earn as a country will trickle down nicely to the masses better than what we earn in Nigeria.
RUKKIE
I call her madam the madam. @Rukkie came with a video presentation and men! she looked so lovely. She has the most beautiful smile and I was almost distracted not following through with her presentation.
@Rukkie carried us on a journey of self confidence and how to deal with Camera phobia.
Her techniques will also do nicely for those battling stage fright. In her presentation, I understood the importance of breathing and how effectively it calms our nerves whenever they go on a rioting spree from fright.
@Rukkie helped me alot in easying down on my presentation, being myself and just going with the flow as she talked about us not trying to be perfectionist.
She assured us that it's ok to make mistakes which is all part of the learning process.
DWIXER
What could be more interesting than listening to one of the ancient of days on the web3 blockchain talk to us about his hive journey?
I call him Sensei because you have to attain the level of mastership to be able to stand tall, remain strong and be resilient in the face of adversity.
Despite not getting the needed encouragement and support as a newbie he carried on doing his thing and kept pushing.
Imagine going through the mental stress of coming up with a write up and not getting any engagement not even one lol yeah...
Some of you will be abandoning your hive account max a couple of weeks but not @dwixer.
@dwixer was consistently posting for over 6months and having little or no engagement but he kept at it and even improved on it as he was learning on the job.
Today hive has become a source of earning for him. With hive, he has attained a reasonable level of financial freedom and independence.
His secret? Simple! Keep the financial benefits of hive one side and focus on creating quality content and this was the mindset I came with when joining hive. Today I am at a thousand HP in a space of roughly 6months (we would celebrate this later).
@dwixer reminded me of an advice a friend gave me earlier this year. He said not to chase money because when you chase money you will never catch it. He told me to create value.
Strive to create value because value attracts wealth and brings forth money.
ABENAD
Ohhh the baby of hive, our one of a kind crocheter, our sweet last born. One of the most amazing person I have come to know. I call her a gift from hive.
Our baby @abenad, my Twinny, talked about a safe place. A place where you can be you, or be better, like be a better version of you. She talked about how to manage our emotions, how to deal with people and letting go of hurt.
She talked about how to manage anger and I know that one specifically was for me because my anger fit land me behind bars ๐.
I had such an amazing time listening to @abenad and selling coffee at her shop even though @rukkie wanted oshofree coffee.
NKEMAKONAM
Mama the mama ๐๐ฟ.... I call her our mommy in the Lord. @nkemakonam talked about oral hygiene. According to her our mouth is a gateway to our entire being and existence. She talked about harmful practices like teeth whitening and advised us to visit the dentist every once in a while.
BIPOLAR95
Then there's me, the voice of the voiceless, the psychologist, @dreemsteem parrot and the theorists. I really did not plan for this expo because this week have been one hell of a rollercoaster ride.
Infact I had already planned how I want to speak pidgin incase English fail me. But then @abenad was just there the whole time with the motivation telling us all to be calm and not be agitated as its just another extension of PYPT just on a Friday. She called it PYPF.
Listening to Rukkie and other speakers, I thought I could totally do this even when @abenad, sorry village people wanted to put hand and jam my head with all the hot mics. But God pass them.
@bipolar95 talked about Culture, emotions and change. According to her women have been victims and at the same time enablers of cultures that have been detrimental to their entire existence.
For women to successfully come out of the marginalized side of life, to not be manipulated by culture or the society, they need to be enlightened and educated to know that they deserve better and there are better alternatives just lying there for them to pick up.
Furthermore, women need to first treat themselves better and set standards by which others will abide by to give them a humane and much better treatment that they are deserving of.
LUCHYL
Our African wonder woman. @Luchyl talked about the importance of marketing in the most humourous and educating of ways. @luchyl told us how she made her first one million Naira and went further to advice us to carry our market on our head like gala.
She also said love what you do and be knowledgeable about what you do because that's how you succeed.
NGWINNDAVE
The mommy is what I call her. @ngwinndave has been one of my inspiration on here on hive. Well it should be worthy to note that her presentations should always come with a warning for the single Pringles because na yesterday this single life really pain me.
All the single ladies in the likes of @Rukkie and @balikis75 was just shouting God when? And even when I tried to maintain steeze and not act like I need a man, I also reminded God say na him create me too so make he no forget my own Adam.
@Ngwinndave educated us on graphic designing. She gave us tips on how to be a successful graphic designer and informed us on how much we can do with Canva.
Then she talked about her husband being her eye and the catalyst to her improvement in graphic designing.
AMIEGEOFREY
The bad ass fashion designer. @amiegeofrey is confident as she is bold. I enjoyed her presentation as she took us on a well informed tour to being successful fashionistas. She introduced us to various body types and how to dress for each body types so we don't end up looking like clowns.
PENDERIS
Our Bot, our ever so loving, sweet and patient Penbot. @Penderis did beautifully well putting together the dreemshare expo for all of us.
He was the last presenter and he talked about Leveraging dedication.
It should be worthy to note that @Penderis has the most soothing voice and if ever we get in an argument, I am going to let him win ๐.
So that's that folks, I am still living in yesterday's event, I am still dreemy ๐.
The event took about 4hours and there was never a dull moment even though some people hosted us in a desert where we had nothing to eat or drink.
In all, it was really A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME DIGITAL EXPERIENCE.
PS
All screenshots were taken by me during the Expo. For the presenters without screenshots, I got so busy selling coffee and cashing out that I couldn't keep up getting a screenshot from their presentation ๐
