I’ve used iPhone for as long as I can remember. I’m not sure if iPhone users have noticed this but once you start getting comfortable with it, it’s so hard to go back except my closest friend who used iPhone for two months and dumped it because according to him, it wasn’t satisfying his needs as a “tech person”. Over the years, Apple has released about 38 iPhones and from my point of view it’s the same each time with different makeup. It’s more like a lady changing her makeup 38times a day. At the end of the lady she’s the same person, nothing new.
I know I’m not the only who gets disappointed and annoyed anytime Apple releases a new phone and then gets to realize that it’s the same thing with probably another camera. There are battery issues, heating issues and a whole lot but they just ignore them each time and bring same old stuff out with new make up. One thing I can give them is that they are really are smart because you will have to find a way to upgrade since they also find a way to make the low versions irrelevant the moment they release new ones.
A comment from someone about iphones
One of my favorite things to do is to write on my phone so I love my notes app so much. Anytime, they release a new iPhone I’m always in a hurry to check what else they added to the notes app but I always get disappointed. It’s almost the same thing. Instead, they just add another app just like notes and then say oh, upgrade your collaboration skills and use this app to plan project easily and share and all that. I’m talking about Freeform.
For me, I don’t see the difference between freeform and the notes app. Just that with Freeform you can adjust the size of the pictures you add to whatever you’re writing about. It’s the same thing as notes. You can scan, you can pictures, you can almost do everything you want to do on Freeform on notes app too. So why didn’t they just upgrade the notes app straight up? They could have just added the adjustment feature to the notes app and then rest for real, or it’s not possible?
Now, talk of the Fitness and Health apps. I tried so hard to understand why there’s even a fitness app separately when most of its contents are on the Health app. I realized I haven’t even opened that app more than twice and that’s because whatever is there is found on the Health app as well. So why don’t they just upgrade the Health app with whatever different thing the Fitness app has. It’s the same calories you burned, distance you walked or run. Same here, same there.
Oh I almost forgot iTunes, apple tv and apple music. So what I know is that you can buy stuff on iTunes and keep it in your digital library forever but for Apple Music, you would need to stream the music. I haven’t even tried to buy anything on iTunes but I just hope you can still play the music offline if not what’s the whole point and how different is iTunes from Apple Music because they both need purchasing and data to work. Oh and itunes can also be used for movies too so then what’s the point of apple tv?They could just upgrade one app to do all that..I could go on and on.
I am not a dev but then being on Gobrunch has made me know that there is almost no end to what one can create in the digital space. I have come to know it almost impossible to say this thing can’t be done in the digital space. At this point, I just feel like it’s just Apple’s own way of keeping their business going because if they wanted to, they really would.
