in FungiFriday7 days ago

Hi, hello, it's me again, @diablo-elnino, here in the #fungifriday post. Good afternoon, fellow community members. Well, on this occasion, I would also like to thank all my friends who have visited and read my blog. My respects to all of you, my loyal friends on the hive blog.

So, in today's edition, Friday, November 21, 2025, I'm back with a post about mushrooms/fungus plants. A special end-of-year edition, and we all know it's the rainy season now.

Well, friends, today I'm very happy to be able to participate in the #fungifriday community organized by @ewkaw, the host and provider of this very interesting venue.

Here, I'd like to share some pictures of mushrooms I found in my yard today.

This is my contribution to the #FungiFriday challenge by @ewkaw .

So, here are some of the pictures I'll share below:

A little behind-the-scenes story about the mushrooms I found today. It's been raining where I live since this morning, ranging from light rain to heavy rain without stopping. Therefore, I haven't been going anywhere today, just staying at home. This afternoon, I tried to go outside because the rain had started to ease off, just a light drizzle. I walked around the yard and wanted to pick some cayenne peppers and oranges from the side yard.

While I was picking oranges, I noticed a mushroom growing not far from the trunk of the orange tree. The mushroom was growing large on the ground, among other bushes. I approached the mushroom to take a closer look, and it turned out to be old and almost rotting. It was clearly watery and bruised, about to rot. Probably from the excessive rain.

If I had seen and photographed it yesterday, it would have looked fresher and better. Then I tried to pick one mushroom to hold, but it was soft and fell apart immediately. but at least I was able to take a photo of it today even though it doesn't look fresh anymore.

The type of mushroom I discovered today is Lepiota lilacea, a species of mushroom belonging to the Agaricaceae family.

This mushroom has a cream-colored to light brown cap with a darker, fibrous center.
The cap is convex when young and becomes flatter with cracked or striped edges as it matures.
The stem is slender, fibrous, and pinkish-brown.

This species is known to be highly toxic and contains high levels of muscarine.

Well, that's all I can share in my blog today. I really appreciate your support, along with your criticism and suggestions, so that this post will be even more perfect and useful for all of us.
Thank you for visiting this post. See you in the next one. Best regards.
