Sunsets can produce some pretty amazing and vibrant colors. The sky turns golden, and the land turns dark and filled with shadows. There is quite a contrast when trying to do landscape photos like this. Because of the amazing reds yellows and oranges lighting up the sky, I will meter my exposure for the sky at the expense of making the land below shrouded in darkness. The colors can be hard to tame so I will let them run as wild as possible while the sun sinks below the horizon.
