SAGHMOSAVANK MONASTERY, ARMENIA
Last December we went to Yerevan, Armenia to spend our Christmas vacation. I really feel that I'm stepping into another world. It was our first time to experience a real snow. The snow blankets the peaks of valleys and mountains. The place was so amazing. Armenia is rich in history, culture and natural beauty. The landscapes and the rugged peaks really holds a breathtaking scene. It's also the home for Monasteries and some of the world’s oldest Churches.
This Saghmosavank Monastery is one of the monasteries we visited. This is a 13th Century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. It’s a masterpiece of medieval architecture in Amenia. The stone walls are beautifully patterned with intricate carvings that reflects their rich artistic culture. The serene atmosphere and the view really attracts the spiritual significance and glimpse of cultural heritage.
Standing in front of this monastery while having a shot was filled with mixed emotions. I was overwhelmed and grateful that I’ve seen and visited one of the oldest monastery. This entire experience left me both inspired and reflective.
