Good day everyone!
I wish to share to you my collections of the Christmas cactus plant. These were hubby's gift to me December 2021. He knows I love collecting this plant. I seldom see this plant. The one shown above was the first plant I got. I saw this on one of the farmers market I've been to in Zambales.
I fell in love with the plant because as you can see the stems looked like a crab's arm. That's why when I asked the vendor the name of the plant, he said it's a crab cactus but when i did my research I found out its name is Christmas cactus or the other one the Thanksgiving cactus. They are almost identical when you look at the flowers but they differ in the stems.
These are my white Christmas cactus. I have the variegated ones too. They
Have two shades of color. The edges of the flower is red with a lighter shade on the inner part of the petals.
Aren't they pretty? Everyday I talk to them, telling them how beautiful and unique they are. That's probably why they have lots of blooming buds.
Do you have these kind of cactus too?
This is my entry to @friendlymoose #pob #photocontest with this week's theme #flowers.
Thank you for dropping by my post.
See you on the next one.
You are loved,
