Top of the evening to you all! How was your day? Mine was quite eventful, as expected.

It’s Monday, after all! The start of the week always comes with having me going to school and going to work. Though it is stressful, the goal is to keep pushing; don't relent efforts because it will pay off one day.

After a long day at school, I came home completely tired and exhausted and just wanted to rest. After a while, my mom came into my room and asked why I haven't been going around the neighborhood to pick up trash like I used to. At first, I hesitated to answer, but eventually, I admitted that it had been a while since I last did it. The reason? Well, the last time I was out cleaning, I had an unpleasant encounter with a certain long thing 😔😌. That incident shook me a little, and since then, I’ve been feeling unmotivated to go back out and continue my usual cleanup activities.

Somehow my mum wasn’t having any of that. She reminded me of how happy she used to be whenever I took the initiative to clean up the environment. She encouraged me not to give up on something that was making a positive impact. She even offered to buy me a pair of hand gloves once she gets paid, just to make sure I have the proper protection and safety.

She kept on stressing the importance of cleanliness—not just for the sake of appearances, but for our health and well-being. She pointed out how messy certain areas had become and how, if no one took responsibility, the situation would only get worse. Her words stuck with me, and honestly, they were the push I needed. Without wasting much time, I decided to get back to it.

I want to use this opportunity to encourage everyone: don’t neglect your surroundings. A clean environment benefits us all—it reduces pollution, prevents health hazards, and simply makes our community a better place to live in. Let's try our best; whether it’s picking up trash, disposing of waste properly, or just being mindful of where we throw things, let’s make cleanliness a habit; it will help us a lot.
