A favourite song is any song that you listen to repeatedly without getting tired of , a song that get rids of your worries and helps to lighten up your mood. Favorite songs often evoke memories, emotions, or simply bring joy and satisfaction when listened to.
I have love listening to other genres of songs from different artistes like Chris brown and Lil baby but my favourite genre of music is still afrobeat. They are several oustanding artistes in the Nigerian music industry with great vocals and performance and I have had quite favourite afrobeat songs in the past such as Nwa baby and Fia by Davido, Come closer by wizkid, Ye by Burnaboy and so on.
I have also had quite few songs that I deeply resonate with this year but for the purpose of this contest, I will be talking about my favourite song presently , a song i have been vibing to, and have been playing on repeat. .
My favourite song??
My favourite song is Billions by Sarz and Lojay. Sarz was the beatmaker of the song and Lojay was the artiste who sang in the song.
Lojay has been someone I love listening to, right from his first global song he sang with Chris brown titled "Monalisa". His vocals is really oustanding and amazing. Sarz is a really good beatmaker as well.
This song brings about the themes of aspiration, confidence, and the pursuit of success against all odds.
In the song, Lojay was passing a message and talking about how he has made alot of money from his songs despite how people including his uncle thought he wouldn't become successful in the music industry.
The lyrics and rythm of the song is top notch but what draws me to this song the most is the rythm. The beat of this song is exceptional, it's a song that makes you want to dance and move your body and also makes you get into your dancing shoes. There is no day,I will listen to this song that I won't want to dance to it.
My favourite lyrics from the song is "Where you dey when I no too know?
When nobody wan show me road
And my uncle think say I no fit blow" . This means where we where you when I was nobody, and no one wanted to show me the way to make it in life and even when my uncle thought I will not become a popular artiste.
Sarz really did an exceptional work on the beat of the song , and my best part of this song was when Lojay stopped singing and he switched up the beat within the song. That part of the song was very vital for me and it gets me engaged with the song, It also creates excitement and enhance my overall listening experience.
