The arrival of Christmas always brings with it a festive and unifying atmosphere, and this year, even though we found ourselves with a classroom full of restless children on the very day we had planned to start our celebrations, that didn't stop us. On the contrary, it was the perfect opportunity to share laughter and creativity.
A Musical Party: “El Burrito Sabanero”
We decided that music would be the theme of our celebration. We chose the famous song “El Burrito Sabanero,” which is not only catchy but also evokes the joy of the season. The children immersed themselves in the dramatization, enthusiastically performing each part of the song. Seeing their faces full of excitement and joy was a gift in itself.
Creating Backdrops: Art with Little Hands
In addition to the music, we carried out an artistic activity that became an unforgettable moment. With paper, paint, and the little ones' fingers, we created beautiful backdrops. The idea was for each child to leave their mark, literally, on each piece. The room was filled with laughter as everyone wanted to dip their little fingers in the paint at the same time. Despite the commotion, it was beautiful to see how each child was obedient and excited to participate.
To add a special touch, we added a piece of yarn that we used to make a bow at the top of the curtains. In the end, the result was a colorful display that will decorate the door of our living room, reminding us all of the Christmas spirit.
Christmas Values: Unity, Peace, and Friendship
It is essential to remember that Christmas is not just about lights and gifts. It is a time to celebrate unity, peace, friendship, and solidarity. As educators, we have a responsibility to instill these values in children from an early age. Through activities such as these, we are teaching them to value and maintain these beautiful traditions that undoubtedly enrich our lives.

La llegada de la Navidad siempre trae consigo un aire festivo y de unión, y este año, aunque nos encontramos con un aula llena de niños inquietos justo en el día que habíamos planeado dar inicio a nuestras celebraciones, eso no nos detuvo. Al contrario, fue la oportunidad perfecta para compartir risas y creatividad.
Un Parrandón Musical: "El Burrito Sabanero"
Decidimos que la música sería el hilo conductor de nuestra celebración. Optamos por la famosa canción "El Burrito Sabanero", que no solo es pegajosa, sino que también evoca la alegría de la temporada. Los niños se sumergieron en la dramatización, interpretando con entusiasmo cada parte de la canción. Ver sus caritas llenas de emoción y alegría fue un regalo en sí mismo.
Creando Bambalinas: Arte con Manos Pequeñas
Además de la música, llevamos a cabo una actividad artística que se convirtió en un momento inolvidable. Con papel, pintura y los deditos de los pequeños, creamos unas hermosas bambalinas. La idea era que cada niño dejara su huella, literalmente, en cada pieza. El ambiente se llenó de risas mientras todos querían meter sus deditos en la pintura al mismo tiempo. A pesar de la algarabía, fue hermoso ver cómo cada uno se mostraba obediente y emocionado por participar.
Para dar un toque especial, añadimos un pedazo de estambre que utilizamos para hacer un lazo en la parte superior de las bambalinas. Al final, el resultado fue un colorido despliegue que decorará la puerta de nuestro salón, recordándonos a todos el espíritu navideño.
Valores de Navidad: Unión, Paz y Amistad
Es fundamental recordar que la Navidad no solo se trata de luces y regalos. Es una fecha en la que se celebra la unión, la paz, la amistad y la solidaridad. Como educadores, tenemos la responsabilidad de inculcar estos valores en los niños desde temprana edad. A través de actividades como las que realizamos, les estamos enseñando a valorar y mantener estas bellas costumbres que, sin duda, enriquecen nuestras vidas.
