Puedo pasar miles de veces por un sitio y descubrir algo nuevo.
La verdad no había detallado tan cerca las ventanas y construcción estilo colonial de lo que era el Restaurant Bodegón de Sevilla (Si quieres conocer más sobre la historia de este restaurant te invito a ver mi post anterior aquí)
En la actualidad está abandonado.
Este día me acerqué mucho más para apreciar con detalle, fue asombroso.

I can walk past a place thousands of times and still discover something new.
To be honest, I’d never really looked so closely at the windows and colonial-style architecture of what used to be the Bodegón Restaurant in Seville (if you’d like to find out more about the history of this restaurant, do take a look at my previous post here).
It’s currently abandoned.
On this particular day, I got much closer to take a closer look – it was amazing.

Luego de los dos terremotos, pasé por el lugar para evaluar si la edificación antigua y hoy abandonada había sufrido daños, ya que está en deterioro, cuando lo visité hace meses noté, que el balcón estaba desprendiéndose por un lado, asombrosamente y al menos por fuera no presentan daños, la estructura resistió los terremotos.
Me acerqué más, dejé el miedo atrás y aprecié unas pinturas en la ventana con aun más detalle, hasta donde investigué, las pinturas representan personajes de la cultura española que pertenecieron al mundo taurino y flamenco.
Las ventanas muestran algo de deterioro, pero se mantienen, creo que es madera de excelente calidad.
Los detalles artísticos sin duda son asombrosos.

After the two earthquakes, I went past the site to assess whether the old, now-abandoned building had sustained any damage, as it is in a state of disrepair. When I visited it months ago, I noticed that the balcony was coming away on one side; surprisingly, at least from the outside, there was no damage – the structure withstood the earthquakes.
I moved closer, put my fear aside and examined some paintings on the window in even greater detail; from what I’ve researched, the paintings depict figures from Spanish culture associated with the worlds of bullfighting and flamenco.
The windows show some signs of deterioration, but they’re still holding up; I think the wood is of excellent quality.
The artistic details are undoubtedly stunning.

Han limpiado algo los escombros, creo que también estuvieron acomodando una parte de la estructura ¿Tendrán intención de abrirlo nuevamente? No tengo idea pero si puedo decir que su estilo lo hace una construcción de mucho valor histórico en nuestra región.
Lo que sí noté es que la última vez que lo visité tenía plantas al rededor y hoy lucen secas y extintas.
Estas partes que muestro hoy, estuvo desapercibidas aquella vez que lo visité, tal vez por que tenía cierto temor de acercarme mucho o porque antes había vegetación al rededor que no me permitía acercarme a las ventanas y apreciar con detalle.
Sin duda es un estilo colonial admirable, un pedacito de Sevilla en nuestra Maracay.

They’ve cleared away some of the rubble; I think they were also tidying up part of the structure. Do they intend to reopen it? I’ve no idea, but I can say that its style makes it a building of great historical value in our region.
What I did notice is that the last time I visited, there were plants all around it, but today they look dry and withered.
The parts I’m showing today went unnoticed when I visited previously – perhaps because I was a bit wary of getting too close, or because there used to be vegetation around it that prevented me from getting close to the windows and taking a closer look.
It’s undoubtedly an admirable colonial style – a little piece of Seville right here in our Maracay.
