Greetings dear Hiveans!
Hope making preparations for the weekend.
There was a severe heat wave. Suddenly there was such a change in the weather from last night that it has been raining continuously for the last 24 hours.
It is obvious that if the weather becomes so pleasant then one feels like eating something that we do not like to eat in summers. You are absolutely thinking right, I am talking about a cocktail party. Although I am not addicted to alcohol, once or twice a month I consume very cold beer, that too with roasted fish or chicken.
Needless to say, I could not wait till the weekend because after the change in weather, the heat will start again. Fried chicken becomes more harmful in summer.
The weather department has warned that this rain will continue for 36 hours and there is still tomorrow left. Obviously, the plan was to fry chicken and a can of beer. In the evening, the weather changed a bit and the rain subsided, so I went to the market to buy groceries. Although this was not in the plan but, it became possible due to the rain.
I am not a good cook but I prefer eating home made food instead of buying shop bought food. Here I am sure about the quality of what I am eating.
Without delay let me make a list of ingredients which are used in making chicken fry and the chutney which goes with it. Chicken fry doesn't require much ingredients.
There are some ingredients which are easily available at home or in the nearby shops. Since we were going to eat only for two people, I am preparing the recipe of half kg chicken which is called fried chicken in the local language.
Although you can get fried chicken in the market too but it will not be of the same quality as we prepare at home. If you want to prepare it at home then the list is ready.
List of ingredients
●Half a kg raw chicken meat.
●150 grams pure gram flour.
●50 grams finely grind rice pieces.
●One teaspoon turmeric, one teaspoon salt, one teaspoon chaat masala.
●250ml soybean oil or refined.
●Half a teaspoon Kashmiri chili as per requirement.
●Grind garam masala, apart from this, garlic and ginger as per requirement.
Method of making paste
First of all raw meat is washed properly in clean water. Chicken pieces are cut into small pieces so that they can easily be immersed in hot oil and do not remain raw.
Now it is the turn to make the paste. Out of the above ingredients grind garlic, ginger and chili in a grinder. If you do not have gram flour available then you can use unpeeled gram by grinding it in a grinder. First of all 75ml lukewarm water is taken in a bowl. After that 150 grams pure gram flour and 50 grams grind rice are added. This rice paste is added so that when we fry it it becomes crispy.
After that, one spoon of salt, ground chili, turmeric, chaat masala, ginger and garlic paste is added.
After stirring for a while with a spoon, when the paste is completely mixed, the chicken pieces are dipped in it. After keeping it in it for about 5 minutes, now put 250 grams of soybean oil or refined oil in your frying vessel and heat it on low flame.
When the oil is completely heated, put 3 or 4 chicken pieces in it and let it cook on low flame. The disadvantage of cooking on high flame is that the upper part gets burnt but the meat inside does not get cooked completely. At this time you have time to prepare the chutney which will be eaten with the chicken.
There are two methods to prepare the chutney. Either you can buy readymade chutney from the market. Or If you want to use a more delicious chutney then prepare it yourself.
Preparing chutney
To prepare chutney you need 50 gms curd, green coriander leaves, chili, garlic, ginger, salt as per requirement, 150 gms tomatoes. Use ginger, garlic and chili as per your taste.
To prepare paste of these, grind all the above mentioned ingredients in a grinder. After grinding finely, take them out and keep them in a bowl. Keep in mind to do all these things while frying the chicken. So that you can eat them before your chicken gets cold. By doing this your fried chicken remains crispy.
After making the chutney paste, sprinkle chaat masala lightly on the fried chicken.
Now your fried chicken and paste is ready to eat. Enjoy crispy fried chicken.Keep in mind that you should not get addicted to these things. Eat them only once or twice a month. Excessive consumption of oil can harm your liver and spoil your digestive system. How did you like this method, please share in the comment box.
