For today I have an interesting contrast between old and new architecture on a visit last month in the city of Aarau. The imposing 13th-century tower, built of large stone blocks and located outside the town, has been built and rebuilt at several different times. The new extension has 134 human figures engraved in the approximately 95 x 200 cm slabs made by the St Gallen artist Josef Felix Müller. A modern extension building in combinatio with the tower.
Have a beautiful day!
