Savoy Beach Mactan Newtown

Have you been to Portofino Beach before? Later on, it was named Mactan Newtown Beach. Now, it's part of Savoy Hotel Mactan Cebu. It is now an exclusive beach that only those who checked in at Savoy Hotel can have free access of the beach but those who want to have a day-use can avail of the Php600.00 per head which is consumable. They can also cater for your beach party which is still Php600.00 per head and a minimum of 30 heads. That's why two weeks ago, my aunt celebrated her 57th Birthday here and I was pretty amazed that 3/4 of the population there were foreigners. I guess most of them were guests staying at Savoy Hotel.

This celebration became a family reunion on my mother's side and It was nice seeing my cousins as well. The food that they prepared in the buffet was sumptuous especially the plates of seafood and the green mango, ugh! I was craving for it. I walked around the resort and I must say that I liked it better now that it has become an exclusive resort. It is less crowded now and the resort is much cleaner compared to before. It is a great venue for family reunions and birthdays as it can cater to up to 100 guests. We are considering now where to celebrate my mom's birthday in October. We certainly hope we can book here soon.
