After this morning's workout at our Orangetheory Fitness home studio Nona North I received my latest medal for reaching the 26.2 miles for completing the Orangetheory Marathon Month 2024 challenge. 🏃
Challenge Accepted: "Global Marathon Challenge at Orangetheory Fitness" - Every Orangetheory member worldwide is invited to participate in this thrilling, month-long event. The goal is to track and accumulate your total distance on the treadmill (or bike/strider, depending on your studio) each day.
The objective is to reach one of three marathon milestones by the end of the challenge:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Full Marathon: 26.2 miles
- Ultra Marathon: any distance beyond 26 miles
This year I went with just the Full: 26.2 miles and got it done half way through the month.
I normally choose the Ultra and probably will get that anyway since I workout at Orangetheory Fitness 5 to 6 days a week but a few months ago pulled a real bad hamstring and have been nursing it to ensure I don't hurt it again so being more careful.
It's always a great feeling adding medals to our medal collection. My wife chose the half because her schedule has her going less this month but she should be adding hers before the month is over. 🎖️
