If you ask me to mention a way in which I feel connected to my culture, two words come to mind very quickly: music and dance. The older ones say that all Cubans have these artistic manifestations running through our blood, that they are an indissoluble part of who we are, and I think so!
Particularly, I like all kinds of music and dance, as long as artistic quality and ethics prevail in each work. From an early age, we are closely linked to music and dance, and educational centers promote the development of these passions in children.
I cannot end this post without saying that the photographs I am sharing are part of the jazz festival held every year in Havana. This is an event that I have talked about many times because of what it means to me, and that I have also had the pleasure of participating in its last editions.

Si me piden mencionar una forma en la que me siento conectada con mi cultura, sin dudas llegan, con mucha velocidad, dos palabras a mi mente: música y danza. Dicen los más viejos que a todos los cubanos estas manifestaciones artísticas nos corren por la sangre, que forman parte indisoluble de lo que somos, y yo creo que sí!!
Particularmente, me gusta todo tipo de música y baile, siempre y cuando la calidad artística y la ética primen en cada obra. Desde pequeños, estamos muy vinculados con la música y el baile, y en los centros educacionales se promueve desarrollar en los niños estas pasiones.
No puedo terminar este post sin decir que las fotografías que comparto son parte del festival de jazz que se celebra cada año en La Habana. Este es un evento del que he hablado muchas veces por lo que significa para mí, y que además he tenido el placer de participar en sus últimas ediciones.
