Siempre he sido buena con las manualidades y la costura es un arte que me gusta bastante. Generalmente no tenía tiempo para dedicarle a este hobby. Ahora mientras estoy en un tipo de período sabático comenzaré a dedicarme un poco a coser. Hoy comencé a hacer el cojin de un tractor.
Lo estoy haciendo en un semicuero que compré y con una máquina de coser que me prestaron. Tengo que tener mucho cuidado con la máquina para no forzarla porque es una máquina casera y este tipo no está hecho para trabajos con materiales tan gruesos. Mientras lo hago me distraigo, me siento útil y veo como el objetivo de transformar un cuadrado de material en un objeto que tendrá utilidad se va materializando.
Sewing Day
I've always been good at crafts, and sewing is an art I really enjoy. I usually didn't have time to dedicate to this hobby. Now, while I'm on a sort of sabbatical, I'm going to start doing a little sewing. Today I started making a tractor cushion.
I'm making it out of a semi-leather I bought and with a sewing machine I borrowed. I have to be very careful with the machine so as not to overuse it because it's a homemade machine, and this type isn't made for working with such thick materials. While I'm doing it, I distract myself, feel useful, and see how the goal of transforming a square of material into a useful object is materializing.
