One remark, from what you said in your guide.
It is better to register using an username and password (email can be bogus/nonexistent, they don't check), if you intend to play on mobile too. With keychain login there is issue on mobile (on Android), or there was when I tried it and I had to go through support to change my login method from Keychain to username and password. Eco recommends username and password too.
I think the estimable @hivetrending has a lot of the login issues worked out, you can now register with Hive account and still log in with username and password on a device without keys.

Great to hear that! I know many people on Hive, including myself, prefer the Hive Keychain login. But I'm fine with the username and password login I'm using now on Moon.
I'm glad I could help a bit troubleshooting that and that it now works fine with Hive Keychain in all situations. Great to see this game revived on Hive guys!
