It's madness. I don't pretend to understand 'the markets', but right now I don't think anybody can see reasonable behavior in this market. My only guess is that people who know what's going on, people who have inside information, are betting on that. Because it's crazy out there. Trump doesn't know what he's doing, and even if he does, he's not being honest with anyone. I haven't trusted government-generated information since I was a teenager, but this is getting ridiculous. It's like we're all bystanders in a clown show. We're waiting for everything to collapse. Will it? Maybe not. But there is a good chance that a lot of us are going to be left paying for all the chaos, a lot of us who had nothing to do with the war, the tariffs, Venezuela, Greenland, Cuba...you name it. I know, Trump et.al will be left standing with gold in their hands. The rest of us are going to scramble for cover--both economic and physical.
