I don't know much about him either beyond The Boating Party, but what a phenomenal artist! That would be fun to see that exhibit, I bet the only other place you'll get a chance to see them is in France!

              He was wealthy and didn't need to sell his paintings like the other Impressionists did and although he gave many away, most of those remain in private collections. More on that later
