The city of Grosse Point is in Michigan. The lighthouse is in Evanston IL. No answers to why that is!
Glad you liked the photos. The house with the two front doors was the keepers house. At the peak of operation there was a principal keeper, 2 secondary keepers and a day laborer. Staff was reduced after it was electrified.

        🤦 I was way off... I was thinking oh no I got the wrong Great Lake. Then I visited my smartie pants friend google and Grosse Pointe, Michigan isn't even on a Great Lake 🙄 its on Lake St Clair. I promise I actually read what people write in their posts lol Shame on me.
