Hace unos días en la Librería-Ateneo Dionisio San Román (Un espacio tranquilo y placentero para hablar de literatura, música y todas las artes mientras se disfruta de un buen café a la medida de cada uno de nosotros), pude disfrutar entre amigos de una excelente actividad donde los invitados eran @abelarte y @elviguitarra con la conducción de @restaurador (Ian Rodríguez) y entre anécdotas, lectura de textos y el sonido inconfundible de la guitarra y la maestra que llevaba a cabo su ejecución, pensé en la importancia de la guitarra para la música cubana y no solo de esta, sino también del tres por que ambos instrumentos están presentes en muchos de los géneros musicales de la isla, por lo que decidí buscar y en mi modesta opinión, puedo decir lo siguiente.
La guitarra, es un instrumento vital dentro de la música cubana, su actual presencia, tanto en la música popular como en la clásica, se debe a varios siglos de historia desde la llegada misma de los conquistadores españoles quienes trajeron consigo la bandurria, la vihuela y el arpa, convirtiéndose la guitarra en la esposa fiel del hombre trabajador de los campos cubanos, más conocidos como campesinos o guajiros, aunque hoy en día la guitarra es tocada y sabida apreciar por ambos sexos.
La mezcla de la cultura precolombina existente, más los africanos llegados a estas tierras, lo chinos y canarios emigrantes, por solo mencionar algunos de los grupos que conforman lo que Don Fernando Ortiz denominó El ajiaco cubano, trajo consigo u proceso de integración que a la larga se refleja en el instrumento musical, y la forma de interacción del artista con él, construyendo música desde todas las perspectivas y sentidos.

Sin embargo el tres sigue siendo reconocido en la isla como una invención de sus pobladores. Porque como algunos dicen no existe un buen son montuno sino hay un tres presente.
