pixabay If you are in a season where God is teaching you how to discern the right people to have around you in your circle, please don't miss this.
The people that God sends you to push you into your purpose will treat you the way that he sees you. But the people that you choose for yourself will treat you the way that you see. This is why we trauma bond to people or we only keep friends that have similar interests to us because we don't see the bigger picture.
But God knows who you are. He knows your gifts. He knows where he wants you to be. And all of that is strategic when he sends people into your life. The problem is we choose people for ourselves based on our limited understanding, which is why the Bible says lead not to your own understanding.
You ever notice how the old friendships that you chose for yourself that have passed on are literally people that you've chosen that only treated you the way that you saw yourself?
Like you just see yourself worthy of this, this, and this. But then God sends somebody in your life that treats you like that. And you're like, dang, I really did deserve that. I really did deserve to be loved and cared for and checked on like that. I really did deserve to be treated with kindness because I poured so much out on other people.
It's because God will. He's going to send you people that pull out your identity in Christ because he's going to send you people that treat you the way that he sees and values you. That's his love in human form.
Don't get me wrong. God can use people that treat you the opposite of what your value is to show you how much he loves you by teaching you that he can only be that for you. But it don't mean that that was his choice for you forever.
People that are not of God's spirit or people that are not assigned to your future will only see you for where you are. For your past or for your present. But they will never see the future that God has for you.
The people that God sends. You should be able to see the vision or the amazing gifts or what you are on the inside of you. They should be able to see that. They may not see every part of that, but they'll see what part of your life they're assigned to push. They're assigned to level and they're assigned to be kind to. They're assigned to support because that's why they're there.
