Hello, how are you, friends? How are things going?
I believe that it's not only the street and its context that can tell stories; faces can too, and often it's the look in someone's eyes that says the most. I understood this when I took part in the Safari Habana project.
These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.
I admit that this type of photography is not my usual style, but I have learned to enjoy it very much. Especially portraits. Girls and boys come to me to have their picture taken, and I can't help but imagine everything that lies behind that desire to be photographed.
Some do it out of vanity, of course, but I've noticed that many others are looking for an image for their work profiles, social media, personal projects, or even to promote an item of clothing. And far from seeming superficial to me, I find it very interesting and useful, especially in these difficult times.
I think it's great that projects like this exist. I'm sure they help a lot, especially young people, not only to see themselves, but also to recognize themselves.
Today I wanted to share with you a selection of the portraits I liked best from that day. I hope that when you look at them, you can also imagine a little of the story behind each gaze.

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos? ¿Cómo les va?
Soy de la opinión que no solo la calle y su contexto son capaces de contar historias; también los rostros lo hacen, y muchas veces son las miradas las que dicen más. Eso lo entendí a raíz de estar participando en el proyecto Safari Habana.
Reconozco que este tipo de fotografía no es la habitual en mí, pero he aprendido a disfrutarla mucho. Especialmente los retratos. Las chicas y los chicos vienen para que les haga la foto, y no puedo evitar imaginar todo lo que hay detrás de ese deseo de ser fotografiado.
Algunos lo hacen por vanidad, claro, pero me he dado cuenta de que muchos otros buscan una imagen para sus perfiles de trabajo, sus redes sociales, algún proyecto personal o incluso para promocionar una prenda de vestir. Y eso, lejos de parecerme superficial, me resulta muy interesante y útil, más en estos tiempos tan difíciles.
Me parece excelente que existan proyectos como este. Estoy seguro de que ayudan muchísimo, sobre todo a los más jóvenes, no solo a verse, sino también a reconocerse.
Hoy he querido compartirles una selección de los retratos que más me gustaron de ese día. Ojalá, al mirarlos, también puedan imaginar un poco de la historia que hay detrás de cada mirada.
