Anytime I go to visit the cemetery nearby my place, some of the first shots I take are overlooking downtown Calgary from the hill facing towards the north. It really only captures a small slice of the skyline, but it does feature some of the more recognizable structures, such as the twin Bankers Hall towers. The white dome structure is what we used to call Lindsay Park, which is a sports and recreation center. The tall tower in the last photo is the Calgary Tower, originally known as the Husky Tower. Some of these have been here my whole life; some I remember as they were being built, and in the few years since I took these shots, the skyline has changed again, so it gives me another reason to get these shots the next time I visit the cemetery.
