Hello monochromatic friends of #Hive!... Yesterday was celebrated in our town the "St. John the Baptist Day", a popular festivity full of sounds, culture, traditions and a religious sense with hints of paganism and folklore... And obviously the crazy guy with the camera (me) was there to take some pictures!...

¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Ayer fue celebrado en nuestro pueblo el "Día de San Juan Bautista", una fiesta popular cargada de sonidos, cultura, tradiciones y un sentido religioso con visos de paganismo y folclor... ¡Y obviamente el tipo loco con la cámara (yo) estuvo allí para hacer algunas fotos!...

This is a multifaceted celebration and during the street tours on this day, the diversity of photographs I can take is very diverse. This day I was able to take very diverse portraits... From people who greeted me and asked me to take a picture of them, to others whose pictures were taken without them noticing while they are walking, dancing or singing... I can say that I "took a spectacular streets bath" and I was able to take dozens of photos...

Este día pude hacer retratos muy diversos... Desde personas que me saludaban y pedían que les hiciera una foto, hasta otros cuyas fotos fueron hechas sin que ellos se percatasen mientras ellos caminaban, bailaban o cantaban... Puedo decir que "me di un espectacular baño de calles" y pude hacer docenas de fotos...

During days like these the local population melts into a single mass of people who seem to forget for a few hours the economic shortages and day-to-day problems... This is a date considered a national holiday, so these scenes are repeated in many towns all over Venezuela, especially in small towns like mine, where even many inhabitants who have gone to live in the capital cities, return to celebrate "St. John the Baptist Daya" in their homeland and with their relatives who still live here...

Durante días como estos la población local se funde en una única masa de personas las cuales parecen olvidar durante algunas horas las penurias económicas y los problemas del día a día... Esta es una fecha considerada feriada a nivel nacional, entonces estas escenas se repiten muchas poblaciones en toda Venezuela, especialmente en pueblos pequeños como el mío, en donde incluso muchos habitantes que se han ido a vivir a las ciudades capitales, regresan para celebrar "El día de San Juan Bautista" en su tierra natal y junto a sus familiares que siguen viviendo aquí...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
