Another post from Bir which is famous for its amazing geography, its Dhauladhar mountain range, its 4750 meter high Thamsar pass, its more than 10 Buddhist monasteries, its 5000 year old Shiva temple, its world famous paragliding site, its hill culture and the organic people living in the lap of Himalayas.
So on 16 May, 4 of us went to Hanumangarh Peak from Bir. We had to mark the route and also do a recce of the route. We set out at 10:30 in the morning and cross the Phata at 12 o'clock which is situated at 2700 meters. This place is a shepherd's base. Whenever sheep and goat herders have to come and go, they camp here and after spending a few days, move ahead. We have covered a distance of 5 km till here.
From here, Hanumangarh Summit is 3 km away. Avoiding the scorching afternoon sun, we finally enter the forest where there is only shade. Crossing the rough roads, we reach the top at 4:30 pm. The weather is good so all the snow-covered mountains are shining clearly. I have come here after a whole year and the amazing views here captivate me every time. I click some photos with a camera and some with mobile. All the photos of today are clicked from mobile.
Hanumangarh Top is 3080 meters high, a 360 degree view is visible from here. A statue of Hindu God Hanuman has been installed on the top. This place was once a check post of King Bhangal. Enemies were kept under surveillance from here. Badagram, Bir, Baijnath, Kothi Koth and Rajgunda villages are visible from above. I get old memories here when I camped here in the cold of January.
I don't know the name of the small white flower seen in the photos of the post, and don't think that I have plucked these flowers. The weather was bad last night and due to the storm, branches of trees were broken all around and many plants were uprooted. I picked these broken flowers and clicked some photos with my mobile, the results are in front of you and I hope you liked the photos.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
