We always wanted to make kids happy during their special day. They feel excited about it, and even imagine blowing a cake while the whole family sings a birthday song. And to us, birthdays are something we will never forget to celebrate. We will always find ways on how to do it in a budget-friendly way.
Nowadays, some people would say that birthday celebrations may not be a thing. But to the children in our family, we always wanted them to feel loved, celebrated, and appreciated on their special day. Just the other day, our niece has turned 7 years old and we prepared a simple celebration for her.
We bought her some cake, cupcakes, and even cooked Pansit Guisado and ordered Carbonara. The foods are already enough for the whole family and a few guests. But we wanted to keep the celebration intimate, so we only invited the closest friends and relatives.
They came over for dinner since we prepared these foods about 5:00 in the afternoon. It was almost dinner already, and people started coming in. But before eating, we sang a happy birthday song to the celebrant, and she blew a candle on her cake.
We asked about her birthday wish, and she told us it's only for her. We did not asked her too much since we wanted her to enjoy the day. As soon as she blew the candle, we already decided to eat and entertain the guests.
The kids started playing after eating, while the adults talked about random things. It was just a simple dinner with the family and closest friends, but we could see how happy our niece was. She enjoyed seeing other company and playing with her cousins. It was indeed a great birthday party for her.
