After Typhoon Uwan: Grateful Hearts Amid the Storm 🙏

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY4 days ago (edited)

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

Typhoon Uwan left behind so much destruction in many parts of the Philippines. Watching the news and seeing photos online broke my heart, but it hit differently when it reached my own hometown. Maybe some of you already know that we live just near the sea and that’s why every time there’s a strong typhoon, I can’t help but worry.

When Typhoon Uwan struck, our rest house near the seashore was badly damaged. The waves were strong, and when the storm surge came during high tide, it brought destruction to the area. Thankfully, the main house was spared and still standing strong and for that, I’m truly grateful to God. 🙏

My brother sent me several videos showing the aftermath at home. I couldn’t help but feel both sad and thankful as I watched them. Sad because of the damages, but thankful because no one in the family was hurt. I captured a few photos from the videos he sent to me to share here.

As you can see, the debris and water reached some parts of the rest house. The walls and flooring near the shoreline were damaged due to the strong waves hitting them continuously. It’s painful to see, especially knowing how many memories were built there like family gatherings, quiet mornings by the sea, and moments of peace. 💔

But as my brother said, At least we’re safe, and that’s what matters most. And he’s right. Material things can be fixed or replaced, but life is precious and irreplaceable. 🙏🙏

Right now, my family back home is busy cleaning the aftermath — picking up fallen debris, removing mud, and slowly fixing what they can. It may take time, but I believe in their strength and resilience. We Filipinos have always had that — the ability to smile and move forward no matter how strong the storm is. 💪🇵🇭🙏

Through all of this, I’m reminded once again to always be grateful, even in difficult times. Grateful that my loved ones are safe. Grateful for another chance to rebuild. Grateful that God continues to protect and guide us.

Have a Blessed Wednesday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖

Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!

Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀

Everyday is worth to be grateful of!

Praying for the safety and wellness of all.

I’m sorry to hear about the damage caused by the typhoon, but I’m deeply thankful that your family is safe. You’re right, material things can be replaced, but life is precious. Stay safe and strong sis!

Thank you so much sis 🥺❤️
Truly, the damage hurts but knowing my family is safe is already the biggest blessing.
You are right, things can always be replaced but lives never can. 🙏
We just keep praying and holding on to God’s protection. 🙏
Stay safe also sis, and may God keep us all strong through everything. ❤️🙏

Thank you so much 🥺❤️
I’m really grateful that my family is safe, and I’m just trying to stay strong and positive kahit ang daming nangyari. 🙏
Your kind words mean a lot. ❤️
Let’s continue praying for everyone affected. 🙏
Stay safe always. ❤️🙏

Amid of storms, we Filipino will always be thankful not just because we experience hardships in typhoon but because we are safe amidst the typhoon. That's the spirit of us Filipino, even we will experience any hardships in our life but we will still stand because we always believe there's our still Almighty God and there's hope.

True. ❤️
Despite all the storms and hardships, we Filipinos always find a way to stay grateful and hopeful. ❤️
Our faith in God keeps us standing and fighting, no matter how heavy the challenges are. 🙏
Thank you for this reminder sis! ❤️
May the Lord continue to protect and strengthen us all. 🙏
Stay safe always. 🙏❤️

It's really hard and heartbreaking to see the things you worked so hard for destroyed. Huhu, if only there were no more typhoons to hit the Philippines so that everyone would be safe, but no, we don't have control over nature, so we should always be ready and pray. Like you, I'm also thankful that nothing happened to your family and that your brother is right, that's the most important thing. I hope your family and those affected by Typhoon Uwan recover soon. 🤍🙏🏻

It’s really heartbreaking to see the things you worked so hard for get destroyed. 😔
But like you said, we have no control over nature, so the best we can do is stay prepared and keep praying. 🙏

I’m also very grateful that my family is safe. My brother was right, life is the most important thing. Material things can be replaced, but life can’t. 🙏

I’m praying that my family and everyone affected by Typhoon Uwan will recover soon. May God comfort, strengthen, and protect all of us during this difficult time. Stay safe always. ❤️🙏

Yolanda also washed out the rear part of the ancestral house in Visayas, the most important thing was the safety of everyone, glad your family are all safe Sis.
