Happy Monday Asean Hive Community! Hello to all Hiver’s! How are you all today? Who loves to eat fish here? . Well fish is very healthy especially those from the sea that grows naturally. Fishes that grow without feeds are the most healthy for us humans. For today's blog let me share with you all my youngest daughter's favorite fish recipe. She is a picky eater so as her mother I tried my best to cook foods that she likes to eat that way she would eat well and have a full tummy. She eat fish if it is a sweet and sour. This is the only recipe she eat among the fish recipe’s. So I would share with you my Sweet and sour Fish.
SWEET AND SOUR FISH
Ingredient’s
1kilo medium Fish
1 pc Carrot
1pc Bell pepper
1 pc small Onion
3 cloves Garlic
Small Ginger
Half pack Magic Sarap
Half teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon black ground Pepper
3 tablespoon Catsup
3 tablespoon Brown Sugar
1pouch Pineapple Tidbits
¼ cup White Vinegar
2 tablespoon cornstarch
Half glass water
Cooking oil for frying and sauteing
PROCEDURE
*Removed the scales and intestines of the fishes and wash well.
*Drain the water then in a fan add Cooking oil then fry the fish.
- Drain the remaining oil using the colander.
*Remove the skin of the ginger, onion and the garlic.
*Wash and slice into strips the ginger, onion and garlic. - Wash the bell Pepper, removed the seeds and slice into strips.
- remove the skin of the carrot and slice into strips.
*In a bowl add the sugar,vinegar, salt,magic sarap,catsup and mix it.
*Add water into the mixture.
- In a half small cup of water,add the cornstarch and stir until mix.
PREPARE TO SAUTE
*In a fan, add oil then add the garlic and wait until it is golden brown.
*Add the onions then garlic.
*Add the bell pepper.
*Add the carrots .
- Cover it and simmer for five minutes.
*Add the liquid mixture.
*Add the pineapple tidbits then mix it and simmer it for ten minutes.
*Add the cornstarch mixture and stir it to combine well.
*Let it simmer for few minutes then add the fish.
*Off the fire then our Sweet and Sour Fish is ready to serve.
Up to 4-5 servings
When my daughters arrived home from school, and found out that I cooked Sweet and sour fish my picky eater smiled. We eat together our lunch and enjoyed the food. Each time I cooked for the family I cook it with love to assure its properly seasoned.
