Trying Nasi Bebek Bumbu Hitam Madura

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are all right. Last April, during the month of Ramadan, I took the time to meet my friends at a mall in Jakarta, FX Sudirman. Because of Ramadan, we also made time to eat. One of the foods we chose was Madurese Black Duck Rice. Is food sold in the mall?

No, we had to walk a little distance to get to this place. This place to eat is called... hm... I think I forgot. One thing I remember, this place is very near Sate Taichan in front of Plaza Senayan Mall. More precisely, it's like a food court. There is mixed ice, black spiced duck rice, coffee, and meatballs. But, the main food at this place is taichan satay. Since the four of us don't like taichan satay, we bought duck rice.

This duck rice comes from Madura. In Jakarta, this food has become one of the food choices. The black spices are very spicy, if you like spicy, you can also add green chili sauce. Oh yes, apart from ducks, there are also chickens. I realized that not everyone likes ducks, traders provide other alternatives, namely chickens.

I ordered chicken rice. One portion comes with fresh vegetables (raw cabbage and cucumber), black chili sauce, and green chili sauce. For duck and chicken, just fry briefly. I've eaten a lot of this. Spicy food makes me quite hungry to eat. From the information I got, this duck rice comes from Bangkalan.

In Indonesia, Bangkalan is an area known as the city of 1,001 duck menus. This food is very famous for its black spices called jangkep spices. This spice has become very legendary and has become a mainstay spice. This seasoning comes from dozens of typical Indonesian spices.

Reportedly, to be able to enjoy duck rice, choosing duck is the most important thing and not just any duck can be used. Only ducks that are 40 days old can be used. Maybe, that's all the duck rice story. For this duck rice, I enjoyed it. Fluffy rice, delicious black duck spices, and tender chicken make the perfect meal.

Plus, while chatting with my friends before the long Eid holiday. Another added value of this place is the large amount of fresh vegetables. This is enough for me to enjoy this duck rice. Sometimes, the duck rice sold has different levels of spiciness. Because I can't stand spicy food, it's sometimes difficult to enjoy this food. That's all I can tell you, see you in another story.
