In my country, we have this taro crop that looks exactly like your kachu. It also grows roots that can be cooked into a tastier dish. It looks similar to your arum roots. I have this hunch that ours is a version of the arum roots in your country. I hope to find some soon so I can also post it here. The last time I had I was still in my high school years living in the farm. It grows right from our own backyard. Indeed tasty and undeniably healthy. Miss having it on my table again. Your content is really amazing. It truly reminds me of how much I missed that dish already!
