Rise and Shine, Breakfast Is Ready!

My teen's vacation has officially started. For a short while, no more too early and late commutes; no academic stress to deal with; no non-academic activities to comply; and the best is, they can sleep longer than eight hours. And yet, a mom's duty has no vacation at all😂. Does this resonate to the mothers out there?😅😅 But let's be more loving and patient. It is still better to raise happy kids, right? One way of making them happy is through their stomach. No matter what mom lovingly seasons with her hands, it is always a joy of our children as it fills their tummy. And mind you, they always appreciate and are grateful for it. The scene making our heart's full, all the time.
Oftentimes, we moms run out of ideas on what to put on the table next for breakfast when we're discouraged indulging on unhealthy fats and high glucose most especially at this time. In order to fix this, I usually serve sandwich with protein to kick start the day ahead. Today, I will share the top favorite of my teens which I believe many other individuals would love too.
Ingredients:
-3 eggs (sunny-side-up)
-salt and pepper (to taste)
-lettuce
-cream cheese or sandwich cheese
-9 slices of wheat bread
-strawberry jam (or any available jam)
Procedure:
Using a non-stick pan, brush it with oil and cook the egg. You can choose to have it scrambled or sunny side-up. Just don't forget to season it with salt and pepper.
Soak and wash the lettuce well with water. Remove excess water from the leaves using a salad spinner or a paper towel. Set aside.
Brush the bread with jam. If brush is not available, you can thinly spread it. Don't put so much jam.
Using three slices of bread for each serving, make your sandwich by placing the egg, lettuce, and cheese. I prepared three servings of sandwich that's why I needed nine slices of it. Please adjust according to your serving.
When done preparing it, slice the sandwich in half and secure each half with a toothpick to be neatly in place. It is now ready to be served. To serve it with milk or freshly squeezed fruit juice is an added joy to our kids. As to mine, I had it with sliced apples.

As for myself, I love to pair it with my favorite hot latte with collagen. It's a perfect breakfast for me keeping me full for at least six hours before my next meal, making me eat for only two times a day. The older I get, the lesser I get to eat😂😂. My next goal is: ONE DAY, ONE EAT ME😅😅😇😇. Heavens help me!😆😆 Let's eat guys. Breakfast is served😍😍
There you have it, your sandwich with protein and greens. Enjoy it with your loved ones. Guten Appetit😍😘😍
Thank you for coming by and stay until the very end of this post. Your support is heartily appreciated. I wish you a wonderful day ahead. I hope to see you again in my next blog. Take care😍😇
