“In the aftermath of devastating typhoons, the resilience and strength of the human spirit shine through.” – Unknown
Hello to all dear Hiveans in this community!!@aseanhive community I've been missing you, my posting was just limited only because of not having good enough connection here in our place for two days. But thanks God,the power was already restored and everything slowly will be back into normal mode.Today I wanna share to you the memories left by the typhoon Tino in our place. This blog was being focused on the scenarios I've seen in my classroom during my visit there.

After several disasters that hit Visayas, classes were being suspended for very long time( from the earthquake until typhoon)And everything was being shifted into modular class/online class.Though it was not easy, because some of the students were really coping up,and some of them don't have any access to participate in the online class--some had no gadgets to go through and access the e- learning resources. Though it was a struggle moments, but still managed it to do the class despite everything.Today I paid a visit to my classroom to check whether all my documents and files were still in placed.

There little/minor damages that were being observed during the checking of my classroom.

A lot of water were really coming in.There were slightly damaged that were observed. Why was the water coming in?It's a structural concern. The water leaking started from the beams, it means that they're passing through it.

I never expected that they're leaks on the structures, but thanks God I am enlightened that before the coming of the typhoon all the appliance in the classroom were being removed like the TV thats being hang on the wall,I placed them under my table, kept it and covered it.
Since I don't have any students this time to help me, I just solely do the cleaning of it. I used buckets and pail to removed the water on the floor. And it took me more than one hour to finish scraping off all the water inside.

These were the possible reasons why water were entering the classroom-- its because it leaked on the structures.Water passing through the ceiling holes if not repaired immediately will cause or could weaken the structures/beams.

I also noticed that the switches for the lights and ceiling fans were malfunctioned. As of this time there were no electricity inside.

The lobby part also were being cleaned, water was also being removed. So I went home at noon, and finished the whole classroom cleaning and preparing it for Monday's class.
I've already reported the minor damages noticed. So thankful for the positive response of the administration of the school to promise and prioritize to repair it and to work on it the soonest possible time.
This would be all for now!I will send you updates on my next blog journey.Keepsafe and Godbless!
