Good day hivers! How are you? How was the table then? Today I'm going to share to you another squid recipe. This is a very common squid recipe and today I will make it simpler.
First thing to do is to wash the squid and make sure to remove its mouth and other inks. Some people prefer the ink to be together with the recipe and today we tried it. I let my husband washed it all because he's good at it and even if I have to washed it he would always say I'm a visitor in their office and I don't have to work hahaha.
Then he prepares all the spices, onion, garlic and ginger. I really don't like ginger but he said it's better to have ginger so the viscosity will be dissolved eventually and it won't create a slimy feeling when you eat.
While we are cooking, we ate this little banana. I just remembered back home my father has lots of banana and I don't have to buy there. Because there are so many reject bananas, I have to make banana smoothie, banana salad or banana fries but in this island I have to buy it.
Then he put the squid to the pan fried with spices and put a lot of ground black pepper. I like black peppers, I love how strong their smell but it creates spiciness when it's too much and that's how I'm scared about because there's too much of it and my kids won't eat spicy one.
After he put the squid he let it boil there for 5 minutes then add vinegar and soy sauce then cup of water. Then he mix it well. Then we left it there for 10 minutes. The time was too long because we are using electric stove. After 10 minutes, I checked if it's tender but still it's not good for the kids so we add 10 minutes more and then finally we got the fine texture.
My kids love it so much. It's still hot but they're excited to eat because it was their father who cook for it. My husband can cook once a day at home and I'm not good at cooking that's why their taste is very different from the food I cook.
That's all for today hivers, thank you so much for reading my blog. Comment down if you love squid!
