Problems are always present wherever we are in this world. We face personal problems about our lives, financial problems for everyday survival and all of these arise because of one root: the country's political leadership and economic state. My blog is an opinion of myself, based in my experiences that I may relate regarding the week 164 aseanhive challenge. So let's dig deeper!
First is poverty. Poverty is at worst state but not about money but how people spend money. Some are called poor or below the poverty line but they have blonded smooth long hair, they have regulated in the salon for pedicure, manicure or even nail extension, teeth bracing and can even buy jewelries. But when the government called for poor people they come in the line, claiming they are poor because they want money. Money so clean that you can get instantly by just in a queue. Poverty is not no shelter anymore, poverty is not undressed anymore because people became low class when they are underprivileged, voices are not heared because they are dirty in clothes, weak and old.
Next is corruption! Corruption in my country nowadays is not a secret anymore. You can feel it, you can see it face to face. Even media are paid to have a beautiful report that can brainwash people. Money spent buy big politicians doesn't have any clear audit. Projects built are standing but will be damaged in just a year. There's more to that, if you are not in favor to the administration you will be prosecuted with different cases, thrown to you so you will be kicked and they can solo the money they want to take in the country. There's no solution for this, because everyone is used by money. 70% can be purchased by money while 30% stands firm but how can we win in this kind of percentage?
Because of poverty and corruption, health care services are very poor. Unprivileged people are afraid to go to the hospital because bills are too much yet services is pleased. Nowadays we're thankful to one senator because he mainly have malasakit program which clears the bill to those people below poverty but it is abused by everyone because even you are rich you can afford because you can lie during the interview so there's no careful checking for poverty people but at least it's used, functional and even me had availed this program. But still if you undergo operations, larger laboratories machines are not available in the province you have to go to the city and it costs. Healthcare services here sucks!
Crime rates is increasing insanely. People are becoming aggressive. They robs, kills, carnaps, kidnaps, human traffics and the major reason for this is to earn money for everyday survival. Rape and murder are the highest crime rates and that's everyday and the saddest part is that our president doesn't have any plans to solve it, remedies to heal the victim's family. I heard nothing from them! And that's so sad!
So how's the food and products here! So much inflation here and there. There's so many products of our own are left behind and sold as cheap because of imported products. The reality is we don't need imported rice, imported vegetables or imported plasticwares because we have it here! We have so many farmers and wide land for vegetation. We have so many factories! My realization to this is that if we export we can get more money if we import in the same way and stocks are flooded in the market and the real competition is the prices.
The last thing is gambling! Gambling is everywhere from casinos to cockfight and even backyard card games. Small gambling is illegal but big time gambling is legal. How funny it is! Gambling pays taxes, big taxes but it kills thousands of lives. Kills physically and mentally. The government is working on it but if gambling is banned to operate then there will be more illegal gambling that will operate behind walls and this will rot people's mind of getting free money!
These are just a few of the problems my country is facing. There's more to that and what I'm sharing is what I saw in my community, what happens inside our privinces. This is my opinion. This is my insights and this is true!
