Hello everyone here in this amazing community of aseanhivers. Today I'm excited to share to you a gathering where I met many mothers from our barangay. This is informing mothers of this generation about malnutrition deficiency. By the way this activity happens July last week of this year. I just forgot to blog it here earlier.

These are the attendees, the parents, facilitators, barangay councilors and barangay health workers.

These are the speakers for this event. Each speakers tackles about different subject. The first speaker tells us to be cooperative to barangay officials and health workers instructions in order to have a healthier community. Second speaker discusses about how important vaccines are to the newly born babies until it reaches its 1000 days. And third speaker is my mother. She talks about gardening importance to aid the poverty that hindrances the child's health.

Then here's the exciting part because it's snack time! My mother distributed snacks, bread and juice for everyone. My kids enjoyed the snacks while I ate Biko and salted peanut at the back.

Then I also picture some activities at the back. There someone is cooking for lunch. They are the barangay health workers who rendered volunteering activities for this celebration. They are cooking bihon and monggo-malunggay soup. Everyone is very busy at the back while parents are listening to the speakers in the front.

After the long discussion, there is also a play. Questions are delivered to answer by the parents and anyone who can get the correct answer can have a reward which is groceries like laundry items. And at the end there is first, second and third placer who received major prizes of chocolate bars and bigger size of laundry items. After all prizes are distributed, each has given small size laundry soap as a reward for being present in this big celebration.

Then we had a very big picture of all of us here. It's glad to see a lot of mothers attended this very important celebration because there are a lot of lessons to learn from here.

After the prizes and games are done, my mom gave seeds to everyone. Hoping they are going to plant it in their backyards. Seeds are kind of expensive so government will give them for free so people won't have any reason why they can't plant vegetables.
Then everyone had a lunch. Everyone enjoyed the food and there are still lots of leftovers and everyone who likes to take home can have some. After that they had karaoke but I went straight home because I'm too tired. The weather is also very cold and bad. Every 5 minutes it will rain then strong winds then stop and will rain again.
We headed home and have a rest also my kids went directly to bed. I can feel how tired they are from playing with other kids.
That's all for my blog everyone. That's how my community ended the nutrition month last July. How about in your place how did you culminate the nutrition month?
