Hello everybody,
After I read about this new challenge The Green things, I right away scrolled and searched for Green things I snapped lately and found many. First I want to show is about our environment, our own place. Our place is full of greens.
This is our place. All around us are green trees, the grasses and some wild green plant.
Here, this is in front of our house vacant lots. They have owners already but they did not yet build their houses and some lots are still for sale.
Next, at the back of our house are tall trees and wild plants.
That is why we have so many dogs as our security guard, 10 of them, because it is very dark at night, we just have light post installed in all corners of our lot. But, sometimes when we hear the dogs howling, our hair stands up, I just close all doors and windows. That is why we bought a generator after the Typhoon Odette in the year 2021 because it is really very very dark in our surroundings.
We have so many papaya trees in our lot all around but we did not plant them, the birds did. When I post on my FB reels the ripe big papaya fruits my friends personal message asking for papaya seeds for planting. After eating the fruit I planted the seeds and gave this newly grown papaya plant, delivered to them.
Next are this Gynura Procumbens plant I planted in containers I brought along from Olongapo City because this plant help us a lot in terms of our health issue. In the year 2017 one midnight hubby's tooth ache. It really bothered him he almost cried and told me while banging his fist on the table that first thing in the morning we must visit a dental clinic. I just smiled with his action then I told him to brush his teeth twice then I went at the back of our rented room where I planted the Gynura Procumbens harvested 11 big leaves, then, I let hubby ate all the fresh leaves. After an hour I noticed hubby slept soundly already. Early morning, I told him we visit the dental clinic. To my amazement he smiled and told me, no more toothache. Ahahaha! Bless you Gynura Procumbens. We were still renting a room in Lapu-Lapu City that time. Not only toothache, it can also lower blood sugar, can normalize high blood pressure, too and many more health issues.
I planted also rare plant like this Talampunay or Angel's trumpet where in the newly develop flowers are all green then later on it changed to yellow color then the full bloom is peach color. Truly amazing nature.
For food I will share my favorite green vegetable I usually order at Bukid Tres, their rare or one of a kind dish, Sia Tao Miao, so yummy.
I also cooked or steam Broccoli for hubby so he can avoid eating cooked rice to control his blood sugar level.
And, also, this sweet potato peels I also steam this vegetable and serve to hubby which I harvested in our garden.
When ever we travel, we passed by rice fields here in our City, I do love the sight especially seeing migratory birds playing on the fields but I am so sad because how many years from now this land will become high rise buildings for condominium because of progress this nice sight no more, soon.
We also passed by Camella Homes Road on top you can view the seas of Carcar City. Last Typhoon Odette many people standby here because this was only the place we can catch up internet signal.
In one of our travel in the South here in our Island of Cebu we passed by this awesome road, cool to the eyes.
Here I ended my green things but oh I forgot one more, this banana fruit I snapped when I went to the poultry of our neighbor, look how bountiful their green banana fruits!
Oh, wait there are additional my crochet projects I have lots and lots of green projects like this ref towel holder I crocheted for my bff/kumare/classmate in high school her green towels.
I also crocheted different colors of hair scrunchies for my perusal pair with my outfit of the day, here is the green one.
Lastly appreciating the gardeners who shaped this green plant for the landscaping in front of Park Mall in Cebu City.
Thank you much @justinpark for this new challenge here in Asean Hive Community.
