Hi, Hive friends! I am busy in real life because of some writing gig but I promised myself to get back on Hive on a weekend. I'm happy to say to visit ASEAN Hive Community with an art challenge.
Today's blog is sharing with you an attempt of painting a Lilac using gouache paint. I was just watching on YouTube on how-to-paint tutorials.
First, I sketched using a pencil some flower lilacs on a vase.
I have different brushes, I think I was using a cat's tongue brush for the Lilac flowers using purple and violet paints. Brown for the stems using a small point brush. Green paint for the leaves.
For the vase, I used dark blue paint and created a transparent effect glass vase.
Going back to Lilac, I added blue paint on the flowers to see that some Lilac flowers are on the front and the rest stays at the back. Adding some depth of the Lilac flower arrangement.
Well, this was a quick tutorial so I was happy to do it in short span of time. The plan was to display my flower paintings on the wall as you can see in the next photo.
I have a new keyboard and I love the colors, purple and pink. The colorful keyboard and mouse help me to be more productive with my writing job. I also love seeing my paintings on the wall, it helps me to be more creative.
Excuse me with my low light photo as it is dark already in here.
I will do more paintings in the next few weeks. I hope you're happy with my artwork.
Thanks to @justinparke for this weekly challenge.
