RE: Some amazing pork I made in my air fryer

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY14 days ago

I've started cooking steaks in the air fryer. They're absolutely delicious. I throw my air fryer bits in the dishwasher, and have been doing so for the five or six years we've had it without any ill-effects.

Its a Philips one, so it is pretty good quality and made of solid stuff.

I wonder if the higher priced ones are better. I can't imagine how because the one I have is bottom of the barrel and was around $20. I have started to figure out how long I need to cook the steaks available locally and yesterday I made one about an inch thick and just five minutes in there at max setting (200 degrees C) was still a little bit too long. I enjoy medium rare that is more on the rare side, so I guess the next one I will only cook for 4 minutes

The physical size of the basket probably impact in the cooking time as well. Its an experimental art. I'm not a physics professor so don't understand anything other than tasty steak is tasty.

don't understand anything other than tasty steak is tasty.

and honestly, this is the only thing we really do need to know
