image.png

Greetings everyone, its been a few days since I did not create any post here in our Community due to health conditions, but today I tried myself to do a few simple and easy obligations so I can kept away from bored times here in our house. My simple activities today was exploring our farm. Living here in the Province is very fun and enjoyable, we can lots of wonderful views, can make ourselves more relaxing and most of all we can plants lots of crops and vegetables at the place. But before I proceed to my simple activities, I decided to went at Zone 19, to wait for any fish seller so I can buy 1 kilo of fish.

It was lucky for me because as I arrived at the street, I saw this fish vendor selling lots of fish. Its good to buy fish every early morning because the price of the fish is cheap. Some of it can buy up to 40 Pesos per kilo each, as I asked the prizes of the fish She sells, I decided to brought 2 Kilos of fish for 80 Pesos. This kind of fish is what we called "tamban" and it is one of the most popular kinds of seafoods and can buy in cheap or low prize. It takes a few minutes before I arrived home and I hurriedly cleaned the fish and fried so that we can eat it for our breakfast and lunch.

After taking our breakfast, I hurriedly went to our Coconut farm and started to looked for any falled coconuts last night. I always did this so that we can gathered and sell lots of coconuts by harvesting day. Gladly, after a few hours of searching for any coconut fruits I gathered almost hundreds of it. I put it in a place were the wooden cart can went and I also separated those coconuts that already contains young sprouts on it.

Checking the coconut trees is also what I always do every morning, some of the coconut trees we have here are contains lots of dry palms and it will good to used it as firewood. My plan for this is to cut into equal length and sell to the Market place, selling dry coconut palm is also a good kind of business and I can really earned more. I also gathered those dry coconut leaves and I put it near at the coconut trunks, this will be perfect as an organic fertilizers to the plants and the soil cannot easily dried because of the intense heat brought by the sun.

Checking our Farm raised is also what I always do, specially to our farm goats. Goats needs to transfer from one place to another so that they can eat lots of young grass. The place must be away from lots of twigs so the rope cannot tied everywhere. As I checked some of our goats, I noticed that the rope as started to crumbled and it really needs to untied the rope. It takes a few minutes before I completely untying the rope and the Goat was already safe from danger. We also raised lots of cows here in fact we already have 5 Cows, some of the cows we have here are been sold last year. Our farm is very perfect for this kind of activities because the place is contains lots of wild grass grows everywhere.

The next thing I did was to trimmed this tree and we called it "Talisay". I already watched how to trimmed this tree in social media that is why I also applied and it is very effective. It keeps the place and relaxing, aside of that the tree wont grow very big and tall instead it will grows wider and wider. It order for not leaning the tree to the ground, I also put bamboos under of the tree and attached to the branches tree to have support from the tree branches.

Cleaning the lawn and some places were I can plant my crops is what I did today. I sited some perfect places for my pineapple plants. First I removed the wild grass and the next thing I will do is to cut those twigs so it will become an open field. Being productive in Life is very important so we can achieved our goals in Life. Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day to all of us.

This is so refreshing. The air must be fresh and cool at this part. And I love coconut milk. So healthy. Can you actually climb a coconut tree? Hehehe. I bet you can. Enjoy your farm and thank you for sharing.

By climbing coconut tree, so sad I really can't do it. 😂

From buying fresh tamban at such a great price, to collecting coconuts, cutting the Talisay tree, and caring for the animals, you’re doing it all. It’s a beautiful reminder that a simple life can be full of meaning. You’re so hardworking and truly inspiring.

Exactly and I really love to lived in this place, even if it is far from the Cities and urbaned places I lived peacefully and enjoyable. ☺️

When a place brings you peace and happiness, you know you’re truly meant to be.❤️

Exactly Ma'am. A good place to live. ☺

This is the kind of place I really want to stay at. Very relaxing and serene. You are blessed to have this peaceful farm life. The coconut trees are adorning that little paradise and the livestock are living freely. Saying hi to that cute brown cow! haha

That 'tamban' fish is very common, and sometimes we experience an oversupply here in Sorsogon province. This is actually a nutritional powerhouse. It's a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Some people here ignore this fish, maybe because of the oversupply, without realizing that it's a healthy fish. We also had some sardine factories here before, and they used tamban for sardine making. I just don't know what happened that they ceased operations. I like it fried, grilled, or even paksiw, either in vinegar or kamias. I almost drool while writing this comment, I suddenly crave for tamban, lol

Thanks for this wonderful post. 😊

Tamban Fish is perfect ingredients for making sardines and there are lots of that kind of fish here. This is the only kinds of fish that have a cheap price. ☺️

same here. I guess there is an abundant supply of tamban wherever in the Philippines, hehe! Why not make it the national fish instead of milk fish (bangus)? lol 😄 just my crazy thought haha

bangus is very difficult to eat because of the smaller fish bones. Maybe it will need legislation before this crazy thought of mine materializes 🤣

hello again

Tamban is cheap but it's delicious whatever recipe. I love the kinilaw, fried then make it Scabethe or making it a dried fish. About the coconuts, you're like my father too, like almost every day he will find fallen coconuts then decide whether it's a good coconut or nut because if it's a good coconut, he will set aided this to grow and plant it whenever it's ready to be replanted on the field. Goat farming is fun, but for me it's difficult to take care young or baby goats during rainy days. I remembered last year that was July one of our goats had 3 baby goats and no one survive because the weather is like rain then sunny then rain.

Taking goats specially baby goats and it really needs to put in a shelter so they can keep away from wet in rain, tamban is perfect for different kinds of recipe. It is good that you also experienced this kind of simple living. :)

Thanks for posting in the ASEAN Hive Community.

Hey, @justinparke here. Sorry for the inconvenience, but my family and I arrived in the USA and for several days we were busy getting over jetlag and visiting family. Now I am back to voting and curating, but will be voting at roughly 50% less than normal until I am caught up again. Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope for all to be back to normal within 48 hours.
