Today is coconut harvesting day and it was really expected to have a busy day here at our Coconut farm. This is what we always do every two months and this is one of our Primary source of income here in our place. My Father planted almost 500 coconut trees and almost all of it produced lots of coconut fruits. It was early in the morning when the two hired Persons who will do the job came to our house and they decided to be at the place early so they can start their work and finish on time. I also guided them by pointing to the young coconut trees at the boundary areas and started to wait for any coconuts falled to the ground and gathered it in one place so it can easily hauled by the wooden cart and carried to the other side of the place across the river.

My Father also at the place looking for any falled coconuts and this harvesting activities will be finish on time. It was lucky for us because the weather was very calm and good even if it has a cloudy skies and we really hope that it wont rain.

This kind of job is very dangerous and can be done only by experts climbers. One false move and you will fall down, I also told them to be more careful when climbing up the coconut trees. I also asked them if they get drunk last day, or if they hang-over to assure their safety by this kind of Job. They started to climbed up the coconuts trees and it looks like they are enjoyed of what they are doing. My Expectations is that, there are not really lots of coconuts can be harvested and sell because of the past intensed heat brought by the dry season last following Months. But its okay for us atleast there are still coconuts can be harvested. They climbed up really fast and I was very amazed of them, this will truly finishing their work on time until afternoon.

Harvesting coconuts activities are also served as a Quarter cleaning of all coconuts because they also removed those dry coconut palms before cutting those bunches of coconuts down. As I observed it, there are also wild animals living on the trees and sometimes they juml when those men clean the top of the coconut trees. Truly this is not really an easy job and it really needs practice and hardworks to perform the tasks very well. It was 8 in the morning when they already half-way and gladly the coconut hauler along with His Wooden cart and Carabao came to our Farm also. He started to hauled lots of coconuts and carried to other side of the place were the vehicle can easily reach up. The vehicle that load this coconuts cannot cross to the river because it is very deep that is why we carried it near at the road.

I also went to the abandoned house owned by our tenants who left and went to Cebu. We started to take care of the place and my Father told me to get those few coconuts He placed there. We already take cared of the house and planned to renovate it so we can have a rest house here.

While waiting, we kept ourselves busy by gathering dry coconut palms. We used this as a firewood and sometimes we sell lots of dried coconut palms at the Market every Sunday. The only thing we did is to cut it into equal length before selling it at the Supermarket. The dry leaves also used as an organic fertilizers or broomsticks which can also be selled to the Market. There are lots of uses of this kind of thing and a good kind of business as well.

This two sacks of Coconut shell charcoals are ready to deliver, each sacks costs up to 250 Pesos and I gathered those lots of coconut shells last Month and decided to charcoaled it using a small hole to the Ground. This time, another lots of coconut shells are already scattered at the place waiting to be charcoaled.

Finally, after 10 hours of harvesting those men who do the job finally finished their works and gladly we also finished our job gathering those coconuts in one place. As my Estimation, the number of coconuts we harvested will reached 3,000 and more. For me, my Father's hardworks and dedications are really paid off and gained a good results.

Harvesting activities will not be completed without having a wonderful and refreshing snacks. My Mother made this drinks and we called it 'labug' a kind of drinks added with buko, condensed milk, sugar, and biscuits. Before paying those men we offered first this delicious drinks. It was really a fun and enjoyable activities we had. Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day everyone.
